Christmas in Turin
It is said the European cities are one of the best when it comes to Christmas, and I couldn’t agree more!
I believe Turin is a beautiful city in Christmas and any other time of the year, as my first visit there was in autumn.
I strongly recommend walking across Turin as it has a remarkable architecture all around and you never know how just like that you find yourself on another tiny street, another square or just another park. The city is beautifully constructed and in such a way that it feels like it’s a never ending one.
If you get to Turin make sure to take a moment to look into the city’s history, as it was Italy’s first capital and home to the royal family. Coming from the same period of time it is said that Turin is one of the three magic cities of Europe alongside with Prague and Lyon that form the white magic triangle of the continent.
On the other hand, it is also said that Turin forms as well a triangle of black magic with San Francisco and London. The royal family believed that this had to do mostly with alchemy and its history more that magic itself. I guess we will never really know but if you take an interest in such subject that Turin is definitely a place for you to explore.
Last but not least, as I love Italy in general and most of their tradition and culture, I have to mention the food. Now I will not get into too much details as I am sure you already know Italy’s food crown, but make sure you try it out as well.
