Is perfection something that can be enhanced?

What could possibly be harder than trying to improve what is already perfect? It’s simply impossible to achieve. The only thing that remains is to add a dash of imperfection. With this in mind, design genius Jean Paul Gaultier came up with the powerful ‘perfectly imperfect’ Kaputt, a fresh asymmetric and irregular cut with partly frosted surfaces. Designed by the couturier and created by Swarovski, the Kaputt cut manages to have a raw meteorite-like look whilst being also elegant and refined. To honor the creative genius, all the Kaputt crystals wear the distinctive Jean Paul Gaultier logo.

The Kaputt cut also comes together with new and fascinating tones and effects to suit its uniqueness. The Crystal Scarabaeus Green effect & Crystal Scarabaeus Green Pearl are two unpredictable shades brought by Jean Paul Gaultier who got his inspiration from the tarnished copper roof of the Paris Opera House and the metallic green-blue-purple sheen of the scarab beetle, worshiped by the Ancient Egyptians. The truly intriguing thing about these new tones is the way they shine in subtly different shades and effects every time you look at them.

Well, I have to admit I probably wouldn’t have done this much research on this particular subject if I had not just become the happy owner of a beautiful pair of Kaputt earrings. But given that I’ve recently managed to get my hands on one of these beauties (and the best part is they were a gift!), a gorgeous pair of long and dangling, black and silver earrings, I was truly curious of what other fabulousness may reside in this collection. And that’s how I stumbled upon this. I couldn’t just keep it to myself. That would have been just selfish.
