I get excited about new books, even before I can actually finish my TBR (to be read) and so, I have a habit of doing research on what I am going to read next. It makes me happy.
One of the most awaited reads for me has to be this set consisting of Homo Sapiens, Homo Deus and 21 lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari
It talks about the first humans to populate Earth, from our ancestors and possible theories of how we have gotten to this point in history, to how life is going to look like in a couple of years from now on and the valuable lessons that we can take into account during 21 centuries.
I think that this is written in such a beautiful and captivating manner, and accessible to anyone who dares to imagine what life might have been like back then.
I fully recommend this books to anyone who is curious.
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
This books I’ve heard many times about, and also you might have heard too since it has a famous movie by the same name. It depicts the adventure of a boy who strangely befriend a Bengal tiger and is lost on the sea after a disaster. It has quite a philosophical take and I believe that I am going to enjoy it, I did not want to do much research on this one, since I want to discover it while reading. What about you?
Ace of Spades by Faridah Abike-Iyimide
I saw this book quite a lot in other readers recommendations and I want to try reading it too. It seems that it tells the story about two students who are having an anonymous texter threatening them. It is a thriller who talks about topics such as institutionalized racism, with shocking twists. I cannot wait to read this book!
