Waterfalls in Romania
Since I was born I liked to watch the water, to see the rain, the see the drobs falling on the ground. When I was little I enjoyed smashing and jumping in the pond. Water is a natural phenomen that sincerely I love very much. I watched in the movies how thw directors captured the waterfalls, it was so captivating, for me at least.
For me like I said before I love to travel an a, so I love nature and photography. In my wishlist I would also like to discover Romania, our culture and monuments and our scenery are unique of a kind. And what is more beautiful to see then a waterfall in her natural habitat.
In my top preferences the waterfalls I would like to visit are the following:
1. Bride’s Wall Waterfall
This place for my opinion is just breathtaking. It is situated in the space of the village Rachitele in Margau commune. I made my research about the location of the this waterfall. It seems that it has the altitude of a thousand meters. And some other interesting information I found is that the mith behind her name is that the story begins where a bride fall off a rock and thanks to the deep of the water. The falling water forms a beautiful white veil.
2. The Horses Waterfall
The altitude of the Horses Waterfall is much lower than the Bride’s Wall Waterfall. The height is about 100 meters where the water plunges off the mountains. This location is situated in the village Borsa in the district Maramures. I always love history so the story behind this beauty will always enchant me. For a animal lover the story is very sad. Century ago a group of horses where cornered by a bear to edge of a abyss. The horses were very frightened by the sight of the bear so they fall in the only place the bear coudn’t reach, the abyss, resulting the tragic death of the horses.
The beauty of nature has timeless holding.The weather can change everyday. What I love the most about waterfalls is that they hold mistery, charm, and a secret beauty. Romania is a beautiful country and all my have should be appreciated and valued, especially this legacy: the monuments.
