The Bmw 3.0 CSL Revival – Why We’re Excited About BMW’s Classic Sports Car

When BMW announced that it was going to produce a new edition of its classic 3.0 CSL, I couldn’t help but get excited. There haven’t been any significant updates or improvements made to this iconic sports car from the 1970s and 1980s – until now!

The new 3.0 CSL is expected to be based on the BMW 8-series Coupe.

The new 3.0 CSL is based on the BMW 8-series Coupe. This two-door sports car features a roof line and sharp flowing lines throughout its exterior design.

The 8-series concept car was unveiled by BMW back in 2015 as a preview of what their upcoming lineup would look like if they were to go ahead with it at that time; however, since then it has gone through several changes before being put into production.

The new CSL will join a range of BMW models that are being revived, including the Z4 and i8.

The car has a high-revving engine and a rear wheel drive configuration. The brand is also bringing back other classic models like the Z4 and i8, which are both electric cars with performance similar to classic BMWs of the past.

The new CSL will join this lineup of classics cars as part of its “Revival” program that aims to bring back iconic models in order to celebrate 100 years since BMW’s foundation in 1916—and hopefully show off how far they got over time!

The most powerful six-cylinder engine ever fitted to a BMW road car

We’ve seen the first prototype of the CSL, and it looks amazing. It uses a detuned version of the 3.0L straight-six turbocharged petrol engine in the M3 and M4, which is even better than what they have now! The new car is lighter than its predecessors because they’ll made room for some new technologies like carbon fiber panels, but that shouldn’t affect performance too much—the original CSL was quick off the mark thanks to its rear-wheel drive layout and three litre V8 engine.

Conclusion

We think BMW has done a great job of bringing back this iconic sports car. The fact that it’s based on the 8-series Coupe means that it will be a more affordable option than other CSL models, and with its new turbocharged straight-six engine, it could rival the likes of Porsche’s GT3 RS and Ferrari 458 Speciale. We can’t wait to see what this new model brings to the table! What do you guys think? Will the 3.0 CSL live up to the expectations on the track? Tell us in the comments below!
