Let me share with you 5 ways you can stop stress and anxiety
One of the main problems today is that we do not know how to reduce the level of stress and hyperactivity in which we live. If we still manage to have time for ourselves, we do not know what to do during that time, because we are used to not having any moment of relaxation. Life is somewhere between stress and the desire to relax.
Excess stress seriously affects the body, causing serious illness and reducing life expectancy. It’s time to stop for a while and to rest not only physically, but also mentally.
We must learn to put problems and agitation aside, at least for a short time every day, and to take care of ourselves and the important people in our lives.
How do we do that? How do we disconnect, when we have so much work to do, when everything is so complicated?
It’s easy to fall into the trap of agitation. These five steps can help you understand that the world doesn’t stop if you allow yourself to relax for a few minutes:
Avoid tensions
If you can’t relax, try to avoid problems. Embrace your worries, make them your friends. Focus on breathing, try to be at peace. If you are tense, allow the tension to set, don’t struggle with anything. Feel every thought, there is nothing positive or negative.
Relax your concentration
Don’t pay attention to anything. Think abstract. According to some researchers, rejecting a thought burns more energy than thinking about it. For instance, Yoga teaches you to focus on one point, but stress can last longer. Try not to focus on any point.
Accept
This is the “miracle” way to relax. What happens around, in life, good or bad, just needs to be accepted. Don’t fight or struggle with what’s going on. This will exhaust you. No one can control what is going on around them.
Don’t run after perfection
Most people are exhausted by the wish list and high expectations. Visual images dictate how we should live. By setting low standards, there will be less pain and disappointment.
Embrace uncertainty
Don’t try to control your life. Make uncertainty your best friend and learn how to deal with changed plans.
Also, don’t forget to … breathe. Take a break and breathe. Get together.
Find your happy place or places. Connect there and live the moment, the moment of silence and focus on what is really important. Be grateful for what you already have.
If you are at home like me, alone in your room, look on the phone and look for a picture of a place where you felt good, where you were calm, happy and and where you felt YOU. Just look at it and try to get that state of mind.
I’ll leave mine here too. 🙂
