Invitatie la vals de Mihail Drumes

Romanian literature is beautiful. I could not have said that when I was a teenager, so believe me when I say, I’ve really changed my mind once I started reading some books. I have to add that, Romanian literature is particularly expressive, philosophical and dramatic, it makes the reader feel so much emotion, from sadness to anger, to literally crying in a matter of chapters. I could not encompass the whole Romanian literature in this post, but if I could I would. I have found myself fascinated in the way people described day-to-day living and how they took care of their relationship with other individual as well as how they viewed work and family. If you want to go on a journey in those times, I recommend that you read Mihail Sebastian’s books, Mihail Drumesc, Marin Preda, Mircea Eliade, Cella Serghi.

Also, please keep in mind, that some of these books contain the way people behaved in these times, and now it might not be acceptable and fair. We must keep in mind that we can judge the writing because we have come a long way since then and we should be willing to educate ourselves to be better, wiser and kinder.
