Is it worth to change for someone?

Over time I have seen and met all kinds of people, with different personalities and characters.

I have known people who always put themselves in the last place, who when they entered a room left their personality and character at the door and constantly molded themselves to the style of others, probably out of the desire to please them, to make a good impression. and / or to be accepted. I also met people at the opposite pole, full of them, who perhaps had too strong a personality and always had something to say in contradiction with others.

Maybe none of these guys are wrong and probably everyone has their own reasons for doing so. I do not judge.

What am I really thinking now, is it worth changing for a certain person?

It can be an important person for us, a family member, a colleague, a friend or a boyfriend / girlfriend. No matter how important that person is, is it really worth it to change something just to please another person?

I think there has to be a balance. It seems okay to me to be flexible, to be open-minded, to really try to understand the other person’s perspective, and where possible and where you consider that there is something to change, to try to change. Just make sure it is something that you consider something good to improve, not only for the sake of a certain person but for your own good in the future.

Change does not mean forgetting the real you!

Remember, change can often mean evolution. From people’s opinions, take only what you think is important and think very carefully before doing anything. To change does not mean to throw away the principles you have built throughout your life. It doesn’t mean throwing away your personality, character, opinions and the list goes on.

You make a change only when you think it’s worth it and when you see that something in your daily life can get better if you work on it.

Most importantly, don’t change for someone!

Listen to what others have to say, accept their opinions, think about them, but that doesn’t mean you have to fully agree with them. You have to remember that you are changing for yourself, not for others. After all, the people in your life are often temporary, so I ask you now, is it worth the effort to change for SOMEONE?

I say it’s better to change just for YOU.
